Ukkali

This is a Jain sweet...we used to make on deepam festival.

Ingredients:
channa dhal-1 cup
sugar-1 cup
salt-a pinch
Ghee-2 tbsp
some broken cashews
cardomom-2

Method:
soak channa dhal in water from 3 to 4 hrs.Then drain the water completely and grind it nicely.Add pinch of salt while grinding.Then make small rounds like ladoos and keep that in idly plates and boil for 15 min.once it boiled take out and break those ladoos finely.Heat the pan and put some ghee add cashews,once cashews turned out light brown add cardomom and then channa dhal mixture,then add sugar.mix it well for 10 min and serve.
